Play with Stretch, Whitney, and your big man to dominate everyone in your path. His name is Chris Whitney, and the guy's got such good handles and clutch shot, that he can literally carry your team as you continue to upgrade your created player's skills. Once you beat the Soul in the Hole Street Challenge, you'll be able to pick up a little known NBA player who can make an immediate impact on your team. Adding him to your team of the big man and Gilbert virtually ensures that you dominate the Soul Street Challenge. Stretch is a tall player who blocks a lot of shots. Beat him and add him to your team immediately. The first Street Legend you encounter is Stretch in Soul in the Hole. ![]() It's also important to complete the various street challenges in the various cities as this will also help you max out your player's skill set a lot quicker. By doing this, you'll earn bonus attribute points for finishing the area, and this will improve your chance as you advance against more highly skilled computer opponents. ![]() Gilbert can make lots of plays with his quickness and shakes, and Reggie is one of the best early leapers in the game and should provide plenty of thrills high above the rim.Īn important thing to remember when playing Legend mode is to completely finish off the area you're playing in before moving on to the next city or challenge. Some of the better players you'll want to pick up as play progresses include Gilbert and Reggie. Look through the list of local balers and take the two you think fit the bill best (don't worry too much, you'll be able to update your team after each win with better players). When you first start playing games and you're picking teammates, you'll need a ball handler and a shooter to go along with your big man. ![]() Make a decision of what kind of player you want early, then carefully distribute the points accordingly. So don't go ahead and give the crown to your player's dunks thinking you can crown his handles later. If you create the perfect big man, your imagination could become a reality.Īnother important factor when adding skill points to your character is the fact that you can only crown (completely max out) one attribute. Imagine a seven footer who can handle like Iverson, shoot like Bird, and dunk like Shaq. This will free you up to give him handles, shots, and dunks. The thing is, if you make a seven footer, you don't need to improve his rebounding or shot blocking for a while, as he'll be naturally good in those areas just because of his height.
